A new mainstay of the Pavillon-Presse is our “Buchstaben-Bibliothek” (letter library), a research library specialising in type, typography and print technologies. This unique reference library continues to grow and is available for interested parties to visit and use. Photographic and scanning technologies exist for digitising even large, bulky and/or valuable pieces. Scans, from rare type specimens for example, may be ordered online at reasonable prices. The Buchstaben-Bibliothek may be used by club members during regular opening hours. The Buchstaben-Bibliothek is a reference library; outside loans are generally not possible. Entry to library rooms is only possible in the presence of museum staff. Jackets, bags, food and drink are not allowed in library rooms.
